NICE VHS VIDEOTAPE COPY OF RARE SOUND NEWSREEL STYLE FILM FOOTAGE OF FLORENZ ZIEGFELD AND EARL CARROLL DESCRIBING THEIR BROADWAY MUSICAL REVUE SHOWS FROM THE ART DECO ERA. Titles are "Glorifiers of the American Girl, 1931" and Costuming for the Vanities, 1933." Combined footage runs a little over 8 minutes, b&w. Both producers talk about various aspects of their shows. Vincent Minneli joins Earl Carroll in his segment to discuss costume designs. Really gives a nice sense of the production aspects of the era. ![]()
