This video was created by CYBELE- VIDEO ARTIST FROM SPAIN
I have only known Cybele a short time...sending her historical information
and visuals for her ACJ video, but during this time, I have come to
realize the full nature of her tremendous committment to photography,
born from a great love for other people. Over the past year, she has
created an absolutely remarkable series of YouTube videos in her channel
MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY.
Cybele prefers to remain anonymous. She says: " .. i don't belong
to this world of Photography, i mean, i'm not a professional photographer,
just a photographer by heart whenever i can..as (like) thousands (of)
persons in the world.... i'm not a collector or something similar...
i'm just a woman that loves photography (probably not more that any
other person..).. and I love the knowledge.... any kind of knowledge....when
i see a photo, specially by a Master of Photography i always like to
know more on him/her, on their lives, on their circumstances, on why
they began to photograph... these stories, their lives, together with
the Mastery, with the beauty, or touching photography, makes a cocktail
for me hard to resist... "
Cybele's photography channel is rated # 52 in Spain on YouTube, with
over 2,200 subscribers. Of her subscribers, she writes: "... some
of them (are) professional photographers.. galleries.. curators... writers..
anonyms... people aged 18 .. people aged 70.. no matter the age if you
love photography.. beginners in photography.. housewifes, students,
musicians... of all countries.. of all races...all social classes...
having a common hobby... Photography... and wishing to know more..."
She created her first video about Roy DeCarava because she couldn't
find him on YouTube, and she created her her most recent on ACJ because
a man wrote her and asked her to. Her videos are non-profit and her
intent is that they be shared with people around the globe. She thinks
of them: "...as a parenthesis in the everyday life..with the clock
stopped... in this strange world....as conversations over coffee in
a cafe... in some way, i open my heart with the videos.. while i virtually
hold in my hands the photographs of the Masters, placing them in the
videos..And i love the idea of having the Masters together.."
She wants viewers to know: "there's a Lover of Photography, that
is making just a humble tribute to the great Masters.. they are the
important subject here... as i say in my channel "In this channel,
the Masters of Photography take their place in front of the camera"....
not Cybele...
